February in Ubin

The dry season is here. Fortunately its still breezy from the wind blowing from the North. The tracks are dry making it easy to walk.

We went to the North Shore. There is a natural pond teeming with tiny little fishes. A kingfisher perch overhead waiting for an easy meal.

    Hi!

I am currently planning a short one-day trip to Ubin for me and my friends during our one-week holiday and its been a pretty long time since I’ve been back to Ubin so I was surfing around the web looking for useful information when I stumbled upon your site.

I was just wondering, do you would know how long it might take to cover the entire island on bicycle and what time the ferry service runs till? What would be the best route to take?

Thanks in advance! Appreciate the effort that you are taking to maintain this site!

    Check http://www.sgkopi.com/ubin/2009/02/lost-in-ubin/

Its possible to cycle all over Ubin within a day. You have to return the bikes by 6.30 pm and there are plenty of bumboat ferries still.

The western part towards OBS has less tree shade and can be very hot. Its easy to get into accidents when tired. Suggest you stick to the eastern side and explore Chek Jawa and Mamam area. If you have the time, you can cycle along Jalan Jelutong, Jalan Batu Ubin and Jalan Noordin.
